3. Full Fasting - Absolutely clean food and not eating anything other than clean water is called Purnopavas. Many fasting rules have to be followed this fast. Nine days of performing this difficult fast do not go out anywhere.
4. Very often people eat food once in a while and at other times eat a slice of sago. Some people eat sago-khichdi or bread of Rajgire flour and vegetable of Bhindi at both times. Doing so does not come under fasting and fasting in any way. Fasting means being hungry for one time or both. But people have pulled out avenues at their convenience, which is unfair.
5. Even if you are not fasting during these nine days, you should not consume alcohol, meat-eating and spicy food.
