Vijayadashami or Dussehra festival has special significance for Hindus. This festival, which is celebrated every year on the tenth day of the Shukla Paksha of Ashwin month, brings joy, enthusiasm, and newness to the public. It is a mythological belief that on this day, King Rama of Ayodhya killed the terrorist demon king Ravana of Lanka. Since then, people have been celebrating this victory memory of Lord Rama as a festival of Vijayadashami.

This festival of Vijayadashami symbolizes the victory over the evil of good, the untruth of truth. This festival gives us the message that no matter how strong and effective a bad person is, its end is sure. Maryada Purushottam Rama gave victory of religion over unrighteousness by ending Ravana who won over death.
